Your designs never reach us.
That is not a policy choice we could reverse quietly. It is how the software is built: the tool, the analysis and your files all run on your own computer.
LAST UPDATED 8 SEPTEMBER 2026
The short version
We hold your account details and how much you have used the software. We do not hold your geometry, your requirements, your analysis results or your drawings, because those never leave the machine you run it on.
What stays on your computer
All of the engineering. Models, assemblies, meshes, analysis results, drawings, bills of materials, reports, your part families and the requirements you wrote. These are files on your own disk. We have no copy and no way to reach them.
What we hold
- Your account. Name, work email, company and which plan you are on, so we can licence the software to you and invoice you.
- Usage totals. How much work your seat has done, so your allowance is accurate and we can tell whether the product is being used. This is counts and timings, not content.
- Enquiries. Whatever you type into the form on this site or send us by email.
- Errors. If something crashes, a technical report so we can fix it. It names the operation that failed. It does not include your geometry.
Model providers
The agent reasons using a large language model. Where you use our included allowance, the text of your instructions passes through us to a provider under agreements that forbid training on it. Where you connect your own provider account, that text goes straight from your computer to your provider and we never see it at all.
Either way, your CAD files and results are not sent. What travels is the written description of the task, in the same way a message to a colleague would be.
We do not train on your work
We do not use anything of yours to train or improve any model. Since your designs are never uploaded, there is nothing of yours here to train on even if we changed our minds.
Who else is involved
A small number of suppliers make the business run: payment processing, email delivery, the licence service and error reporting. Each sees only what it needs, none receives your engineering work, and we will name them on request.
How long we keep things
- Account records for as long as you are a customer, then seven years where tax law requires it.
- Usage totals for twenty-four months.
- Enquiries for twenty-four months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Error reports for ninety days.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@lmcad.in and we will reply within thirty days. If we cannot delete something because we are legally required to keep it, we will tell you which record and why.
Cookies
This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies. There is no analytics script following you around. If that changes we will say so here first and ask before setting anything.
Security
Everything we hold is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to the people who need it, and licence keys are stored in your operating system keychain rather than in a file. The strongest protection is structural: the sensitive material is your engineering work, and we never have it.
Air-gapped deployments
Running fully offline means no usage data reaches us at all. Licences are validated with a signed file instead. If your work requires this, it is available on Enterprise.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will email customers before it takes effect rather than editing the page quietly. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
